The player has the option to customize the quantity of units and rats to play with in the game. A unit is described as a central main room containing one food bowl and four water bottles, surrounded by 12 smaller rooms serving as sleeping areas for the rats.

The objective of this game is to keep the group of rats alive for as long as possible. Players can define the number of units and rats to introduce into the game. Once the game commences, players can choose to place each rat individually onto the maze or release all at once using a designated button. Throughout gameplay, players have the ability to monitor and move the rats within the maze. The game concludes when all rats have perished, displaying a graph depicting the total population against the number of deceased rats over time.
